History of BMW

The company was founded in 1916 by Franz Josef Popp, Karl Rapp, and Camillo Castiglioni. Originally, BMW was a manufacturer of aircraft engines, which is reflected in the company's logo that symbolizes a white propeller blade against a blue sky.

During the 1920s, BMW expanded its production to include motorcycles and then automobiles. The first car produced by BMW was the "Dixi," which was launched in 1928. Over the years, BMW has become known for its performance and quality, with a product range that includes compact cars, luxury sedans, sports cars, and SUVs.

BMW Today

Today, BMW is one of the world's leading car manufacturers, with a strong presence in various car markets around the globe. In 2017, the company sold over 2 million vehicles. BMW's lineup includes the popular 3 Series, the sporty M models, and the luxurious 7 Series. The company also owns the Mini brand and is the parent company of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
